Less students to sit Grade Six National Assessment Examination this year
(DNO) Just over 1,000 students have registered to sit this year’s Grade Six National Assessment Examination, a reduction by 100 as compared to that of last year.
Senior Education Officer Nicholas Goldberg said 1,050 students are registered of which 517 are girls and 533 are boys.
He said last year 1,150 students sat the examination.
“The format is the same as in previous year. There will be mathematics, science, language and social studies. This is a decrease over last year. This is one of the lower entries of students to secondary school. We expect it to rise next year and this year is the lowest it would be I suspect,” Goldberg said.
The exam is set for May 25-26.
